Johnson, Committee Hear of Insecurity on Southwestern Border
Chairman Ron Johnson and the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee heard from witnesses Tuesday who testified that the U.S.-Mexico border is not secure. “We have been passing law after law after law,” said Senator Johnson, “and at some point in time we have to ask the question: Do these laws work? Budget Committee Unanimously Adopts the "Johnson Budget Window"
The Senate Budget Committee on Thursday unanimously adopted the "Johnson budget window" - a 30-year calculation of projected federal revenue, spending and deficits, in addition to the customary 10-year projection. That, said Johnson, will help Americans and Congress better understand the financial situation of the country and the effect of proposed reforms. Read more here.
