Senator Johnson Comments on Third Anniversary of Obamacare

Washington, D.C. – Senator Ron Johnson (WI) released the following statement regarding the third anniversary of the enactment of Obamacare:

“I have always said that Obamacare will do great harm to our health care system. It will lead to rationed care, lower the quality of care, increase medical costs and severely limit medical innovation. As the law comes closer to being implemented, that’s becoming more apparent.

“As I travel around Wisconsin, I hear from individuals, small businesses and medical professionals who are trying to decide what to do about rapidly rising insurance costs. Many people are learning that the insurance plans they have and like do not meet Obamacare standards. The Senate just voted overwhelmingly to repeal the Obamacare tax on medical devices – largely due to concern about it deterring innovation and driving jobs overseas. Unfortunately, these problems are likely to grow worse as Obamacare takes effect.

"As this law continues to be implemented, its serious problems and negative effects are becoming apparent. Hopefully the President will admit this mistake and make sure that this third anniversary is its last.”
