Whistleblower Hotline
Viral Tweet
As chairman of the U.S. Senate committee with legislative jurisdiction over the U.S. Postal Service and general oversight jurisdiction over the federal workforce, I have a whistleblower mailbox for individuals to share stories of possible wrongdoing in government. I recently asked postal workers or anyone with information regarding any irregularities related to mail-in and absentee ballots to contact our confidential whistleblower mailbox immediately: whistleblower@ronjohnson.senate.gov.
The Process is Not Over
In the face of coordinated efforts to undermine his administration from day one, and a mainstream media that shed all pretense of fairness, President Trump has tenaciously fought to make America better and he produced remarkable results. His unbelievably energetic reelection campaign efforts earned him 200,000 more votes in Wisconsin than in 2016 and once again made pollsters look ridiculous. Regardless of the outcome, in my book he will always be a winner and patriot that truly loves America.
For more of my thoughts on this election, here's an interview I did Tuesday with Vicki McKenna.
Letter to Google About Elections
Google and other social media giants have amassed far too much power, and Congress must address this significant threat to our democracy and freedoms. It's astonishing what we are learning about Google.
A study of 773 politically diverse computer users in the lead-up to the election by Dr. Richard Epstein found that only liberal users received get-out-the-vote notifications from Mon., Oct. 26 - Thurs., Oct. 29.
I've written a letter to Google's CEO demanding answers. Read the letter here.
Veterans Day 2020
This week we celebrated Veterans Day and I was thinking back on all the fine men and women I've met over the years who have worn the uniform for this great country.
While many in-person ceremonies had to be cancelled this year, I was honored to participate in Wisconsin's virtual Veterans Day ceremony with the Wisconsin Dept. of Veterans Affairs. (You can watch my remarks here.)
On Veterans Day we show our gratitude for all who have served and sacrificed to defend our freedom and way of life.We are so blessed to live in the greatest country in the history of mankind. A land of unlimited opportunities. America is a marvel, and no one understands that more than our nation's veterans.
We've been through a lot this year, but through it all, Americans have shown resilience and determination. We are always inspired by the service and sacrifice of the 18 million veterans living among us. Veterans who come from every walk of life, all with the same desire to serve their country. In my office alone, I have 7 veterans on staff with a combined 150 years of military service. I'm in awe of their dedication and love for this country.
This year, we marked the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II. We are so grateful for the contributions our service members have made for peace and security around the globe.
Our veterans represent the very best of America. You are truly the finest among us.
