Sen. Johnson Votes No on Aiding Democrats’ Reckless Spending Spree

WASHINGTON — On Tuesday, U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) issued the following statement on voting no to raise the debt limit to support the Democrats’ reckless spending spree.

“The Democrats continue to further mortgage our children’s future and just raised the debt ceiling with no provisions for getting government spending under control or efforts to lower the debt. We are nearing $30 trillion in debt with Democrats wanting to pass a $4.9 trillion spending bill by the end of the year. They are in control of the government and should be held accountable for their radical agenda that is causing inflation and driving up our national debt.”
