WASHINGTON — On Wednesday, U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) joined Newsmax’s “Spicer & Co.” and Fox Business’ “Evening Edit” to discuss how the early treatment of COVID-19 has been repeatedly ignored by our federal health agencies. The senator also discussed how Twitter recently censored his posts regarding VAERS – the federal government’s own Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System – and the dangers of Big Tech censorship.
On early treatment:
“They are not preventing infection. They are not preventing transmission. I've always felt there was a federal solution to the pandemic. It’s called early treatment, and yet we did nothing in terms of robustly exploring it, researching it, recommending it. People like Fauci actually sabotaged early treatment. So today, almost two years in this pandemic, the NIH guidelines remain. If you get tested, if you test positive for COVID, do nothing. Go home. Isolate yourself. Be afraid. Be worried. Hope to God you don't get so sick you have to go to the hospital where they don't do a whole lot more for you than they do prior to that, which is virtually nothing.” (Sen. Ron Johnson, ‘Evening Edit,’ 1/5/22)
On Big Tech censorship:
“Well their original strategy was vaccine, vaccine, vaccine. The fact that they ignored and sabotaged early treatment with these cheap, generic, widely available drugs – literally it cost hundreds of thousands of people their lives. So at this point, they can't admit they were wrong. They're going to do everything to make sure they're never proven wrong which is why they're trashing me. They're vilifying me. They're censoring me. Because, if they're proven wrong, if it's proven that Ivermectin, Hydroxychloroquine, Budesonide. There's a cornucopia of drugs to treat the different stages of these diseases. They've ignored them. They've sabotaged them. If they're proven wrong, just think of what the consequences would be because of that. They can't afford that. The media can't afford it. The big tech can’t afford it. The COVID god's Fauci, Walensky, the other people in the agencies and Biden administration. They'll never admit they were wrong.” (Sen. Ron Johnson, ‘Spicer & Co.’ 1/5/22)
