Responding in Moments of Extreme Peril

Russian Invasion of Ukraine

Ron Johnson and President Zelenskiy

As a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, I've been to Ukraine and have met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Weakness tempts tyrants and totalitarians to seek more power. People who only want to live in peace suffer the consequences.

Ultimately, there is only one group of people responsible for the tragedies unfolding - Vladimir Putin and his cronies. They have stolen wealth from the Russian people, destabilized and done great harm to their European neighbors, and now they've crossed another line that will yield untold horrors. Europe must act with strength and resolve to prevent risking a wider conflict, and the U.S. must support our NATO allies and freedom loving people in this moment of extreme peril.

The Covid Cartel Lied, People Died

Federalist Op-Ed

The Federalist published an op-ed I wrote with Dr. Robert Malone on how the COVID cartel - federal health agencies, Big Pharma, legacy media, and Big Tech - wrongly scapegoated those who chose not to be vaccinated and pit Americans against each other.

You can read the entire article here, but here are a few excerpts:

"The timing of scapegoating the unvaccinated for the ongoing pandemic was no coincidence. For anyone paying attention and not blinded by the siren song of Fauci, it was becoming apparent that the vaccines were not as safe or effective as we all hoped and prayed they would be. Because the Covid cartel was so vested in vaccines as the only solution to the coronavirus, evidence that their strategy was failing required a response.

"The American people were manipulated and turned against each other to hide government mismanagement, while many died unnecessary deaths due to suppression of early treatment options. Countless workers had to choose between losing their jobs or being coerced into accepting a medical treatment Covid vaccination they preferred to refuse. Businesses were disrupted, closed, and harmed, and the fabric of American society was deeply scarred.

"A time of reflection and reckoning is coming, as the Canadian trucker strike proves. The Biden administration and the rest of the Covid cartel must stop dividing America and abusing its awesome powers. The path forward should be obvious. Respect the public by being honest and transparent with it. And stop infringing our God-given freedom and personal health autonomy."

Introducing the Right to Treat Act

Ron Johnson and Dr. Kory and Dr. Marik

Throughout this pandemic, I've been working with the frontline doctors like Dr. Pierre Kory and Dr. Paul Marik (pictured above at a lecture in Madison this month) who have had the courage and compassion to treat COVID patients.

I am proud to introduce legislation to protect doctors, patients and prescribers. The Right to Treat Act will reaffirm that no federal agency has the authority to regulate the practice of medicine and that no federal law, rule, or regulation of policy will prohibit or restrict the lawful prescribing or disbursing of any FDA approved drug or Right to Try drug.

The pandemic exposed the fact that many doctors no longer call the shots when it comes to treating patients, the COVID Cartel does. The COVID Cartel includes the Biden Administration, federal health agencies, Big Pharma, mainstream media, and Big Tech. The Right to Treat Act would ensure that federal health agencies return to their proper functions of gathering and providing public health data and regulating drug safety not telling doctors how to practice medicine. Because federal health agencies sabotaged the early treatment of COVID-19 using widely available and safe generic drugs, an untold number of people needlessly died from COVID-19. Americans and doctors should have the freedom to use fully approved drugs without fear of reprisal. It's time to once again let doctors be doctors and allow them to fully practice medicine.

Letter to Sec Def: Do You Plan to Discharge Military Members?

For months, I've been trying to get information from Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin about how discharging service members who are not fully vaccinated will threaten military readiness.

To date, the Pentagon has yet to respond to my letters dated Oct. 12, 2021 and Dec. 15, 2021 about the Department of Defense's COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

Recently, Thomas Renz, an attorney representing several DOD whistleblowers, released a 35-page DOD brief that included some of the information I had previously requested from Sec. Austin.

Specifically, the document showed that for all services members, approximately 76% are fully vaccinated; 16% are partially vaccinated; and 8% are not vaccinated or unknown.

Oshkosh Local Legends Podcast

podcast interview

I had a great time recording this podcast in my hometown of Oshkosh. The Local Legends podcast is sponsored by the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce. Many thanks to host Aaron Armstrong for the insightful conversation about business and entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurship is really what made this country great because it's taking advantage of the fundamental premise of this nation - freedom. America's success is not from big government. It's from individuals who have the freedom to dream, aspire, build and create.
