Outrageous Arctic Frost Political Witch Hunt
38 Wisconsinites on Biden Enemies List

I joined the Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman for a news conference that should outrage and shock every American.
This is nothing short of a Biden Administration Enemies List.
An investigation, launched by Joe Biden’s FBI and codenamed “Arctic Frost,”sought testimony, communications, and records related to at least 430 Republican individuals and entities — including 38 Wisconsinites.
There’s no legitimacy to this “Arctic Frost” investigation — it’s completely political. Biden weaponized federal agencies against ordinary Americans on his “enemies list.” These are God-fearing, law-abiding patriots who simply love their country. It’s sick and outrageous.
This isn’t justice — it’s abuse of power. Senator Chuck Grassley and I have been investigating the Obama and Biden agency corruption for years. Jack Smith’s 197 subpoenas prove that the politicization and weaponization were pervasive. Every American should be outraged by this blatant abuse of power, regardless of their political beliefs.

The records that were made public last week — 1,700 pages of documents and 197 subpoenas — were not obtained from an agency; they were obtained through a whistleblower. We need more whistleblowers who want to see the integrity and credibility of the Department of Justice and FBI restored. I am concerned that the partisan actors burrowed into these agencies are sabotaging the efforts of the Trump Administration.
The American people need to understand exactly what happened. I'm calling on members of the Judiciary Committee to help me and Senator Grassley get to the bottom of this so we can expose this — so this doesn't happen again in America.

Government Shutdown Dysfunction
The Schumer Shutdown continues as Senate Democrats have now voted 14 times to keep the government closed.
Before the shutdown began, I worked to pass my Eliminate Shutdowns Act. It would end the drama and uncertainty of Congress’s budgetary dysfunction. The bill ends government shutdowns by establishing two-week rolling continuing resolutions to fund the government if there is a lapse in appropriations.
Then on October 16, I introduced the Shutdown Fairness Act. It would ensure that all federal employees reporting to work during a shutdown receive pay and allowances on a regular basis during a lapse in appropriations.
Senate Democrats voted both bills down.
On October 23, I went to the Senate floor to argue for the Shutdown Fairness Act. I come from the private sector. You don't get a whole lot accomplished arguing all the time. It's all about finding areas of agreement.
There are more than 2 million federal employees who are now being forced to work because they're termed excepted — but that means they're essential. They're protecting our nation. They're protecting our safety and security. They're writing Social Security checks. To see that they get their paycheck, so they don't have to work DoorDash, and so they don't have to go to food banks, so they're not under that stress. I am asking in good faith. Let's figure out how to get that done.

New Federal Judge

Congratulations to Rebecca Taibleson on her confirmation to serve on the U.S. Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, filling the seat previously held by Judge Diane Sykes who moved to senior status.
I am confident that Taibleson will be a valuable addition to the Seventh Circuit, given her strong commitment to the Constitution and her dedication to applying the law as written. Thank you to President Trump and my colleagues for supporting her nomination.
The Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals is based in Chicago and includes Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana.
I had the honor of introducing Taibleson in her confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee in September.
