***VIDEO RELEASE*** Sen. Johnson Holds PSI Hearing Defining the Problems of Obamacare

WASHINGTON – Yesterday, U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), Chairman of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, held a hearing entitled “Defining Our Healthcare Problem, and Principles We Should Follow to Solve It.” The four Majority witnesses discussed how Obamacare’s structural problems are fueling higher costs and rampant fraud, and they identified the harms they have experienced as a result.

Christopher Briggs shared the story of his daughter with leukemia, showing how President Obama’s repeated assurance that “if you like your health plan, you can keep it,” turned out to be a lie.

Nick Stehle told the story of his severely autistic son and explained how Medicaid expansion’s able-bodied adults are first in line for home health care, with his son on a ten-year waiting list.

Joel White outlined the massive consolidation in health care since Obamacare, which has weakened competition and driven prices up.

Tarren Bragdon discussed the massive Medicaid fraud recently uncovered in Minnesota and the GAO investigation showing how easy it is to defraud Obamacare.
